Storage tank fittings

We supply a range of storage tank fittings.

These fittings and equipment are critical in industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, and food processing, where precise storage management, safety, and regulatory compliance are paramount.

The combination of these devices ensures proper tank management, maintains safety standards, and reduces operational risks.

Breather valves

Function: Breather valves are used to regulate the pressure inside the tank by allowing air or vapors to enter or exit when necessary. They help prevent excessive pressure build-up or vacuum conditions that could damage the tank structure.

Emergency vents

Function: These valves are designed to open automatically in the event of excessive internal pressure or vacuum, typically due to a fire, overfill, or other emergency situations. They help protect the tank from rupture or collapse and prevent hazardous leaks.

Flame arresters

Function: Flame arresters are critical for preventing the propagation of flames or sparks into the tank, especially in applications where flammable or volatile substances are stored. They are installed at the venting points to protect against the ignition of vapor inside the tank.

Blanketing valves

Function: Blanketing valves are used to introduce an inert gas (such as nitrogen) into the tank to create a protective “blanket” that prevents the accumulation of flammable vapors or minimizes oxidation. This is especially important for tanks storing sensitive or hazardous liquids.

Gauge hatches

Function: Gauge hatches are access points on the top of storage tanks that allow operators to inspect the liquid level, perform maintenance, and ensure proper operation of the tank’s internal mechanisms. These hatches often come with safety features to prevent spills during inspection.

Free vents

Function: Free vents are designed to provide a means for the safe release of vapor or gases without obstruction. They are often used in systems that require continuous ventilation to maintain pressure equilibrium within the tank. Free vents may be used in conjunction with other venting or relief systems.

Gauging equipment

Function: Gauging equipment is used to measure the level of liquid in storage tanks. This can include manual methods (e.g., dipsticks or manual gauges) or automated systems like radar or ultrasonic level transmitters, which help in determining the precise volume and monitoring the tank’s contents.
